Bruce and Denise dreamed of savoring their backyard in Pearland, TX, yet the relentless Texas sun and gusty winds stood in the way. Their outdated patio umbrella proved futile — it toppled over at the lightest breeze and barely shielded against the scorching afternoon glare streaming through their back windows, rendering the space sweltering and unusable by day. That's when they turned to our motorized aluminum pergola.
To solve these issues, we installed a 10'x14' solar-powered aluminum pergola with a built-in ceiling fan. The sturdy frame gave them the confidence to leave it up in windy weather, while the fan helped keep them cool on hot summer days. We also added a motorized roller shade to block out the low-angle sun during sunset, which had been a constant annoyance indoors and out. With the new pergola in place, their backyard is now a comfortable and reliable space they can enjoy throughout the day.
