Buffet Star was founded in the vibrant community of Redlands, California, with a mission to provide customers with an unparalleled dining experience centered around diverse culinary traditions. However, its patio suffered from extreme exposure to the sun, rain, and wind. To address this, we installed four 10-foot by 14-foot solar-powered aluminum awnings equipped with electric shutters and ceiling fans, transforming the patio into an all-weather dining area. Today, it has become a popular venue all year round.
Extreme sun, rain, and wind disrupted outdoor dining, chasing guests indoors and cutting revenue. Without a commercial patio pergola, the patio was only usable on “nice weather” days.
The plain, unshaded patio clashed with Buffet Star’s modern hospitality brand, looking “unfinished” next to the sleek restaurant interior. A commercial pergola was needed to create a polished outdoor dining backdrop.
Without shade or airflow, the patio became a “heat trap” in summer, making guests uncomfortable. A commercial pergola with ceiling fans would solve this.
