Qandil’s lush backyard had oasis potential, but harsh sun and rain kept him from enjoying it fully—he lacked a pergola with roof to make the space usable.
We installed a 10ft×14ft solar-powered metal pergola with roof (louvered design) for him. With motorized louvers, solar fans, LED lights, and a drainage system, it turned his lawn into an all-weather backyard oasis.
Qandil’s backyard had a backyard oasis promise—he longed to lounge in the fresh air, but midday sun blazed like a “heat wall.” Without an outdoor structure with roof, stepping onto the lawn meant instant sweating. He could only glance at his yard from indoors, never truly “living” in the space that could’ve been a backyard oasis with an outdoor louvered pergola.
Rain turned the lawn into a “no-go zone”—the grass got soggy, puddles formed, and any plan to chill outside vanished. Worse, there was no outdoor shade structure to shield him from light showers, so Qandil felt stuck indoors whenever clouds threatened, missing out on his favorite “nature recharge” moments.
When the sun set, the lawn went “dark and lifeless”—no cozy lighting or even a basic outdoor shade setup to draw Qandil outside. He wanted to enjoy the cool evening air, but the plain, unlit, shade-lacking space felt “boring.” He’d retreat indoors, losing hours of potential outdoor relaxation that could’ve been saved with proper shade for outdoor living.
